This past Christmas nearly half a ton of food was collected by us for Waterloo Foodbank.

13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK.Waterloo Foodbank is all about feeding local people in crisis. 

Schools, churches, businesses and individuals donate non-perishable, in-date food to a foodbank. Food is also collected at ‘Supermarket Collections’: These are events held at supermarkets where volunteers give shoppers a ‘foodbank shopping list’ and ask them to buy an extra item or two for local people in crisis.

Eden help out by doing weekly collections from a collection points including supermarkets, schools, churches and businesses. We then deliver all the food collected to the foodbank where volunteers sort food to check that it’s in date and pack it into boxes ready to be given to people in need.

There are so many ways to support the foodbank, from a simple donation to volunteering. Your gifts of food, time or funds help stop local people going hungry.
