Over the years, we’ve gained some amazing employees and friends, some of whom have been with us from near enough the beginning!
Meet a few of them here...
After a decade designing catering operations and developing dozens of cafes around England and Wales, Hugh founded Eden Caterers in 1993, pledging to grow a new business in one place with one team. The Eden we have now is the fulfilment of that decision and dream. “I’m immensely proud of Eden and the team that now forges it forward to a bright future. This success has been founded on simple values and a culture of working hard with kindness, honesty and integrity in all that we say and do”.
Being kind to our planet is at Hugh’s core. He campaigns to reduce the use of single use plastic, has cleaned dozens of beaches around our coastline, is a beekeeper and chooses the bicycle before any other form of transport.
Nick joined Eden only two years after the company was founded back in 1993 and has virtually fulfilled every role. He is instrumental in preserving Eden's award-winning food and service, as well as delivering innovative development for the company's strong sustainability ethos. FUN FACT: When he's not buzzing around Eden, Nick could well be found riding his road bike through the Surrey Hills or, more likely, as a scuba Divemaster in a sea, lake, or even a swimming pool teaching others how to dive.
Director of Operations
Jeremy has been a central member of the Eden Team for the last 19 years. His main job is overseeing all the day to day operational aspects of the company’s business and ensuring we maintain industry leading standards in all that we do for our clients. No easy task when juggling dozens of orders to be made and delivered into central London daily; but Jeremy does it while keeping the teams both organised and amused with humorous banter.
When not at Eden you’ll find him, near scratch and generally winning, on the Golf Course.
Hiwot is the mastermind behind our financial figures! Juggling our accounts isn't simple, but she handles it effortlessly with a beaming smile!
Cost & Purchasing Controller
Jill is an experienced and knowledgeable Cost & Food Purchasing Controller with a passion for food safety and allergen compliance. She has been with our team since February 2020 and has been instrumental in ensuring that our food products are safe and meet all industry requirements.
Senior Events Manager
Stratos is a seasoned events manager with a passion for exceeding client expectations. Since joining our team in January 2022, Stratos has planned and successfully executed hundreds of events throughout London.
Monika joined us in April 2022 and her passion for events and her understanding of the importance of creating memorable experiences for our clients are evident in her work. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every event runs smoothly.
Senior Operations and Logistics
Tech loving Savannah is always looking for new ways to optimise our logistics operations. She is able to juggle thousands of deliveries per month while maintaining a near 100% accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Sales & Admin Assistant
Hugh is a experienced transport coordinator. Having been with Eden for over a decade, he's become an expert in navigating the bustling streets of Central London. But Hugh's talents extend beyond the realm of logistics; he's also a master of the grill, whipping up mouthwatering Caribbean BBQs in his spare time that tantalise the taste buds.
John is an experienced driver coordinator (and golfer!) who has worked for Eden for more than ten years. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the streets of the capital, having traversed them for over 50 years. His expertise in navigating the city's complex road network and anticipating traffic patterns ensures that our drivers deliver our food efficiently and safely.
With over 40 years of navigating the vibrant streets and intricate buildings of central London, Scott brings a unique blend of punk rock energy and logistics expertise to our team. As a seasoned logistics coordinator for over a decade, he possesses an unparalleled understanding of the city's ever-changing dynamics, ensuring that our deliveries reach their destinations with precision and punk rock grit.
Emanuel possesses a deep understanding of Central London, having navigated its streets for many years. His knowledge extends beyond the well-trodden paths, encompassing a treasure trove of hidden shortcuts that allow him to traverse the city with efficiency. FUN FACT: Emanuel is a talented musician who enjoys playing the accordion and DJing in his spare time
Matt's commitment to food health and safety is as important as his pride in managing our busy kitchen team. When not in the kitchen, Matt can be found with his guitar, performing with his band in central London's bars and clubs.
Assistant Kitchen Manager
Fahd has been with Eden for nearly 20 years (one of the longest serving members of the team!). His poker face would lead you to believe he’s the serious stern-faced boss, but dig a little deeper and you might just get a rare glimpse of that lovely smile (he’ll hate us for saying that).
Desserts Section Head
Leading desserts lady, Shonette, always has a smile on her face and makes every day at Eden a little brighter. Shonette moved here from South America when she was 15 and has been with Eden since 2014. When not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find her at a party or mixing up some delicious (yet dangerous) cocktails.
Sandwich Section Head
Paulo's ability to maintain composure under pressure is legendary. Even amidst the bustling chaos of big event days, he remains the epitome of calm, leading his team with grace and precision. His leadership inspires harmony in the kitchen, resulting in flawless execution and the timely delivery of thousands of delectable creations.
Greg is one of our hard-working Kitchen team. He comes into work every morning with a friendly face and a humble disposition that makes him a delight to chat to and be around. Moving here from France five years ago and joining Eden not too long after, Greg has become a fundamental part of the Eden family.
Despite the massive scale of production, Ceasar maintains an unwavering commitment to quality. His meticulous planning and organisational skills ensure that every item that leaves his kitchen is as delicious as the last!
